ACC 260 English for Academic Purposes (Intermediate)

Content

ACC 260 is part of the Academic Core and should be taken in the student’s first year at RA. It will support and enhance performance in many of the other courses across the curriculum at RA.  The course develops your writing and presenting skills. You will give individual short presentations, conference speeches and group presentations. The writing of academic essays and issues such as structure, style and referencing are covered, as well as several other writing activities. The topics on which you will write and present include both set topics and those of your own choosing. You will participate in group discussions, learn to give peer feedback, understand academic texts and do research appropriate at the university level.
