The Roosevelt Academy Choir

The Roosevelt Academy Choir was founded right after the foundation of Roosevelt Academy in Middelburg. Since 2008, the RA Choir is being directed by Elisabeth van Duijn – Blom. It is the official choir of the Roosevelt Academy, and in that capacity, it sings at official occasions such as the Opening of the Academic Year and the Graduation Ceremony. Moreover, the choir regularly gives concerts and accompanies church services.

The main focus of the repertoire lies on English choir music, and our purpose is to establish a choir tradition in Zeeland as it is known in the United Kingdom. This includes for instance the regular performance of Evening Prayers. Besides that, we have a broad repertoire ranging from Renaissance to contemporary music.
