Roosevelt Academy's Mission Statement

The mission of Roosevelt Academy is to improve the lives and the planning for personal success of its students, associates and the larger community, by providing superior learning opportunities in the liberal arts and sciences at honors bachelor level.

Studying at Roosevelt Academy is different from any other regular university in the Netherlands. Our students are highly motivated, young intellectuals who wish to broaden their horizon, to explore things unknown, and to look beyond what is possible. Roosevelt Academy offers a unique educational experience based on the idea that an academic career benefits most from learning more about a variety of disciplines. From pure science to historical facts and political theories or from making music to reading Shakespeare or actually performing the Bard’s plays on stage -- all this is possible at RA.

Located in the historic heart of Middelburg, RA is a challenging adventure for those who wish to explore and discuss exciting new fields. We aim high and therefore expect a lot from our students. At the same time there is ample room for numerous extracurricular activities on and off campus.
