MEDICAL MORPHOLOGY of THORAX, ABDOMEN, and PELVIS,
ANATOMY and HISTOLOGY

Morphology is the science concerned with the structure,
or the configuration or the form or the shape of plants and
animals including man. It comprises disciplines such
as cytology, histology, anatomy, embryology and physical anthropology.
Medical morphology is human morphology  with emphasis on those aspects
of the morphology that are essential for the understanding of human
physiology and pathologic or clinical conditions.

Anatomy is to physiology as geography is to history, i.e., it provides the setting for the events. Anatomy concerns itself with structure as well as function. By means of surface anatomy , endoscopic anatomy and radiological anatomy, emphasis will be placed on the anatomy of the
living body.
